PLC peripherial connection unit

The EtherNet PLC peripherial connection unit (communicating with the higher control) is the first member in the chain of PLC I/O modules. The module uses standard Ethernet (RJ45) ports, therefore it can directly be connected to a local area network (LAN). Its job is to connect the wide range of different purpose PLC I/O modules made by our company to a LAN network. It also serves as the modules’ power supply. The module capacity is limited by the sum of the modules’ current consumption, which cannot be higher than the EtherNet module’s output current.

18-channel input module

18-channel digital input module that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. It is capable of processing 18 independent 24VDC digital switching signals. The channels are galvanically isolated from one another. The channels are equipped with LED indicators. It is ideal for receiving the signals of inductive sensors and switches.

16 channel transistor output module

16-channel digital output module that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. It has 16 independent 24VDC transistor-switch outputs. The channels are galvanically isolated from one another. The outputs are protected against overload and overvoltage. It is ideal for connecting direct current consumers (eg. relays, magnetic switches, valves).


FRM18A

16-relay (NO contact) output module

16-channel digital output module that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. It has 16 independent relay outputs. All channels are equipped with their own feedback LED. The outputs are protected against overload. It is ideal for connecting alternating current consumers (eg. relays, magnetic switches, valves).


ADC5

Module for connection of 4 analogue inputs

4-channel analogue input module that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable.
It converts +/- 5V differential analogue input signals to digital data on 4 channels. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. The ADC channels are powered by an external 24V supply (using a built-in DC/DC converter). It is ideal for processing the signals of HMI components (eg. Feed-Override, Spindle-Override) and other analogue signals (eg. temperature sensor).

 


DAC

Module for connection of 4 analogue outputs

4-channel output module for generating analogue signals that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. It converts digital data to +/- 10V analogue output signals on 4 channels. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. The DAC output channels are powered by an external 24V supply (using a built-in DC/DC converter) and they are isolated from the LVDS bus. It is most commonly used for connecting servo drives/frequency inverters with a +/- 10VDC speed setpoint.


TTLAC

Module for connecting 2 TTL transmitters

2-channel module for connecting TTL transmitters, that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. Reception and evaluation of TTL incremental transmitters’ signals, determination of absolute position. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. The TTL transmitters are powered by the LVDS bus.


TTLHand

Module for connecting handwheel (ISMM1468)

Module for connecting handwheel, that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. It receives and evaluates the signals of the incremental transmitter within the handwheel and the mode buttons, then determines the absolute position. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. The handwheel is powered via by the LVDS bus.


StepDir

Module for controlling 2 axes (pulse sequence driven)

8-channel module for generating Step/Dir (direction and pulse sequence) signals that connects to the EtherNet PLC peripheral connection unit via LVDS bus using a ribbon cable. The inputs receive 24VDC switching signals, the outputs are 5V Step/Dir signals. Its job is to act as a bridge to the dives requiring pulse sequence signals. The module generates 2 individual Step (pulse sequence) and Dir (direction of motion) signals, and it is capable of controlling two axes. It may be used in any position after the EtherNet module. The external device(’s optocoupler) is powered by the LVDS bus. The digital inputs are galvanically isolated.
